Letchworth LG1 Development
In this project, LG1 in Letchworth is developed from an allotment site. The project began with a group-based master planning and analysis phase, where the overall vision and layout were developed. The development plan creates a dynamic, sustainable new neighborhood that integrates seamlessly into Letchworth's existing urban landscape, providing residents with a higher density of homes, while maintaining green spaces and community vitality.
What I learnt in this project:
Collaboration- Contributing to the overall team effort in shaping a cohesive and successful design for the development
Design & Urban Integration- Applying design principles that connect the new development with the existing community, ensuring harmony in both style and functionality.
Housing & Density Strategy- Working on solutions that incorporate higher-density living while maintaining quality of life for residents.
Master Planning- Developing comprehensive plans that balance housing density, community connectivity, and sustainability.
